I'm really glad that I finally got my tattoo started. It was no where near as bad as I thought it would be. There were a couple of spots that were pretty tender, but it definitely wasn't unbearable or anything. I love the artwork, and I can't wait to get it finished!
The work was done by my brother Bryan Register at Peacock's Tattoo. Evidently I sat like a rock...my brother was expecting me to put up a fight, but other than a little discomfort it wasn't bad at all. So far, Bryan has about 4 hours into it, and I have at least that much if not more for the rest of the color.
For a little more about daruma dolls, check out this link. The left eye is colored in now that I've made my wish, and once my wish is complete I'll have the other eye filled in. The kanji at the bottom of the dolls face is hissho, which means "certain victory."
