Bio:

Birth name: Justin Robinson. Stage name: Aquariuz. Born and raised in Jackson,MISSISSIPPI. At the age of 15 is when I first recognized that God blessed me with a gift...the gift of music! I started singing in the church. I wasn't the best but I stood out. As the years went by my voice developed more and more, and so did my passion for music. When I was 18 it hit me! "I really want to sing!" This was also the time when I wrote my first song, entitled "Take Me". It was a really big accomplishment for me and I proved to myself that I can do it. Since then I have a number of songs, including the songs featured on my page. My style is a blend of R&B and Pop, all on a foundation of Soul; however, I limit myself to nothing when it comes to music. I believe that I can do whatever I imagine. I am currently UNSIGNED, but hopefully Myspace will give me the exposure I need to get noticed, because I truly believe that I have a real talent with writing good quality songs. And I know that if I stay true to myself and stay close to God, he will answer my prayers and things will work out for my good. Music is not only an inspiration, but a beacon in my life. It takes me to another place. I thrive on it, rely on it, and live for it. Lately I have been keeping a low profile on my "music life", but I think I am now ready for the world. I'm ready for the world to know Aquariuz...the Songwriter. I have now decided to put my singing career on hold and pursue a songwriting career. My passion for writing has grown tremendously over the years. And the "songwriter turned singer" formula has proven to be successful. So get ready because there's a new songwriter in town. My name is Aquariuz and I will soon prove to the world that I am the next talented songwriter.

Influences:

My biggest influence is my mom. She has always encouraged me to be whatever it is I wanted to be. She has stood by me and my decision to pursue my music thus far, and I know I can count on her to always be there. I would love, more than anything in this world, to give my mother all the things she's never had or never even thought she would ever have. To give her a life with no more worries, at least from a financial standpoint. I love you so much mom! I gotta give big ups to my boy D. Wallz. He's an aspiring rapper/songwriter and a good friend of mine. He's influenced me in a really big way. He was one of the few that actually listened to my songs and ideas, and encouraged me to pursue my music as a career. Honestly, he's one of the reasons I'm doing this. I didn't really know where to begin when I started writing, and he suggested I record my songs. It was through his connections that I successfully recorded my first song "Steel Heart". Thanx man! My musical influences include a plethora of artists ranging from Michael Jackson all the way to Yolanda Adams. Artists like Whitney Houston, Trey Songz, Usher, Beyonce', Jennifer Hudson, Leona Lewis, Justin Timberlake, Michael Jackson, Mario, Maxwell, Jazmin Sullivan, Ne-Yo, J. Holiday, Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige, and Anthony Hamilton are just a few, to say the least, of the artist that have captivated and influenced me with their incredible vocal talents. I've also had a Gospel influence. Thanks to my mom. Growing up to the sounds of Yolanda Adams, Shirley Ceasar, and Donnie McClurkin has instilled the soulful foundation that can be heard embedded into my music today. If I could name three musicians that have had the biggest influence on me and my music, I would have to say...Michael Jackson...Ne-yo...and Beyonce. (Hey she's the Queen!)
