Forming in early 2007 Before the Rise took on instant notoriety supporting the likes of national acts such as Nonpoint, Drowning Pool, Powerman 5000, Smile Empty Soul, Skindred, DieCast, Karnivool, Kittie, Ankla, and many other up and coming touring bands. Bridging today’s need for identifiable and inspirational lyrics, with soaring choruses is what gives this New England hard rock band the sound they crave and create. A love for life and music is what drives Before the Rise. It is a brotherhood before a business, and a family. In early 2007 the band recorded their first studio session and released a 4 song Demo “ Invocation” which they were able to distribute locally and send out to independent labels. Garnering an invitation to record with producer Matt Laplant of Bieler Bros. Records ( Nonpoint, Skindred) down in Pompano Beach, FL. The band packed up and drove the Winni down and camped out with Alligators in the Everglades for 4 weeks while the created their “seed to soil” album that is available today. They were signed to a small indie-label called Screaming Ferret that went south very quickly and decided that going it alone would be the best idea for a bit. Accepting a the tour invitation for the LocoBazooka tour, Before the Rise hit the open road in support of The Dreaming, a band from L.A., and spent a month ripping it up through the country. A few months after tour the band parted ways with bass player and good friend Ian Vittorioso and went a few months without, finally acquiring Mike Laroche from Till We Die. Mike was an instant fit and has been an integral part of making this band successful. The band had been steadily writing, gaining sponsorships, and playing all around New England until the loss of their guitarist Washburn which forced a short hiatus and actually aligned itself with fate putting the band back into the studio as a four piece, recording 2 brand new singles “ Always” and “In the End” with producer Jon Wyman. Now fiercely gaining ground again with brand new material coming constantly, Before the Rise plans on being New England’s Premier Rock band and taking everything and everyone to the next level!
