Beyond Black's story begins in September 2005..... Guitarist Daniel Booth aka 'Boothy', vocalist Sarah Seal and drummer Liam Powell are jamming together one morning at college and decide to form a band. Realising they were bassless, Gerry Trimble aka Gerble, is roped in to be part of this crazy band. In October 2005, they were joined by stupidly amazing guitarist Lee Tatler. .... Liam sadly left to join metalcore band Hope Devoured as a guitarist, thus being replaced by Nick Daniels, a blind yet truely amazing drummer who is a student of Therapy's drummer, Neil Cooper. March 2006 saw Sarah leave the band to fulfill her ambition of becoming a nurse. .... With no vocalist Gerry decided to take up vocal duties. In September 2006, Lee Tatler left the band due to other commitments, Beyond Black then decided to continue as a three-piece until July 2007 when Liam Powell rejoined breifley on Rhythm guitar before leaving to do his own thing. .... Beyond Black's music has been described by Gene Bassist Kevin Miles as 'A mixture of 80's Thrash metal and Old-school Hardcore Punk'. They have also been described as 'Pitchshifter's riffs, the vocals of Damageplan and Killswitch Engage and John Bonham reencarnated all mixed into a hell of a band who put on a good show'. .... They are also unafraid to break boundries as most of their songs have lyrical themes that range from macebre interests (Suicide is hell) to personal loses (Addict) to big events in history (Armageddon) .... Nick Daniels..Drums & Percussion..22 Years old..Derby..Equipment=Mapex Pro M Drums, Zildjian A custom cymbals, Pearl pacussion, Remo Drum skins, and VickFirth drum Sticks, live uses Yamaha Beach Custom drums and paiste alfer cymbals..(Gerry Says) Nick is a hell of a drummer who has an equally eccentric personality .. .. The band have just finished recording their first demo, which will be on sale for £2 at gigs and gigging like mother fuckers.
