Bill Vega & New Decade have been involved with Dance music since 1991. Their Essex based label ‘Out Of Romford’ was set up at the height of the rave scene in early 1992 and was responsible for massive rave anthems such as ‘Get The Message’, ‘Wonderful Experiences’ and early tracks from Andy C as Desired State..... They were both heavily involved with the explosion of pirate radio in the early 90’s helping run Essex/London stations such as Shakedown FM, and with Bill Vega (then DJ Infinity) appearing on infamous London pirates in the development of Drum & Bass such as Weekend Rush & Eruption. .... Their productions continued into the evolving DnB scene with further releases on O.O.R gaining support from legends like LTJ Bukem. In late 1995 their track ‘Rise Up’, under the guise Vivid Dreams, was signed to dance major Deconstruction and entered the national charts with supported remixes from Origin Unknown and Liftin Spirits. Bill Vega also had numerous releases under ‘Joint Venture’ on Liftin Spirit Records working along side Ant Miles (Origin Unknown). Residencies with promoters such as Raindance continued into the late 90’s until their musical tastes drifted into Trance where they were signed to German label Proton, gaining support from influential DJ’s like Ferry Corsten and Tiesto..... The turn of the millennium brought with it another new direction in music, this time bringing back their roots in Hardcore and entering the world of Breaks. Their first track ‘Mind Beats’ was a fusion of styles and was subsequently signed to ED209’s Wireframe label in 2002. They soon found themselves being an established act in the breaks scene playing regular events/festivals in the UK and Spain and also radio shows on Breaks FM. Further releases on Wireframe and en:vision followed with continuous support from DJ’s such as F.F.S, Atomic Hooligan, Jay Cunning, Tayo, Cntrl Z, Hybrid, Aquasky, Hyper and Annie Nightingale to name but a few..... 2003 see the pair set up their own label ‘Full Intent’ which had 8 releases to its name and was supported by accompanying remixes from artists like SOTEG, RNA v BSS and High 8. Due to the popularity of the releases they were asked to complete a Full Intent mix for the Annie Nightingale show on Radio 1. The label ran up until their signing to Bassrock Records in 2004. Bassrock were then responsible for releasing some of their best work to date including ‘Sonic Thunder’, ‘Run This’ and ‘Fear Of Darkness’ supported by remixes from the likes of Cntrl Z. .... In 2005 they completed a remix for Old Skool legends ‘Orca’ which was released on Warehouse Wax and was scheduled to be their last ever track!….... …But 2009 see the pair reunite and sign to American breaks label Downbeat. Their first release is scheduled for October of ‘09 with a massive 5 track comeback EP that includes the tracks Kaos Control, Soldier’s Angel, Age Of Freedom, Fear Of Darkness (601 remix) and Sonic Thunder (C83 remix). Most of the tracks have already had early exposure on Kiss FM and BBC Radio 1 and are building momentum with all the top players..... Their follow up release ‘Taking Over’ has been snapped up by yet another American label Badbwoy Bass, and will be supported by high profile mixes from producers such as Future Funk Squad, Ways & Means & Dom Almond. 2009 also sees them on remix duties for U.S label Scrape with their massive remix of Zarbizzares ‘Peyote’ and also for Future Funk Squads ‘Re-Orders Of Skill’ remix EP’s. Much more original material and remixes are in the pipeline for labels including Re:connect, Definition:breaks and Chipsound as Bill Vega & New Decade set out to make 2010 their biggest year to date!!!.... ...... ........ ....<
