Here is what the Visalia Times Delta had to say about our recording entitled, "Carnival Dragons";.. ..The Visalia band’s "Carnival Dragons" should be munched up by a T-Rex. This album crosses the line between unconventional ingenuity and eccentric obnoxiousness. Poorly imitating Syd Barrett, the synth and keyboard sections launch a blaring assault on the auditory senses and the singer croons with vocal patchiness. However, Bolex Rex, does seem to present some interesting ideas in its music. It just doesn’t have the capacity to fulfill its potential. The band is reminiscent of a clichéd, mainstream punk band in which the guitar and bass have been outsourced to a synth section. Until Bolex Rex is able to put out some better material, invest your money in other local bands’ work. ..
