Interests
General
..
Children and Senior Citizens...I totally enjoy working with them but I will now list acting, directing, producing, general theatre management, event planning, talent management, writing plays, poetry, songs, listening to music and astrology as my other deep interests.
(but....not necessarily in that order).
Music
I hope this quote will help you, I know it helps me (daily). ..
I love all types of music from R and B to calypso to classical.
What can I say, our Local and Caribbean artistes are my first choices. Bless up all o' we local and Caribbean people who are making Ssswwweeeetttttt music and generally keeping culture alive and our countries on the map!
I lost my first brother, Eric in 2005 and my dad in October 2007. Having walked towards the Light they are now my security. I believe that we will all be united one day!
For all of 'myspace' friends who have lost loved ones recently. I understand your pain and your loss. Just be patient, you will never forget them but God strengthens you every day and with that strength, you are better able to cope with the void.
..
Movies
Lots and lots of them! I usually just watch movies as entertainment and then I forget about them...so the listing would be kind of difficult but just know that I have watched a whole lot in my time!

I made this video playlist at myflashfetish.com
Television
Books
The Bible and any books that would stimulate my mind and feed my soul.
Heroes
There maybe a few heroes around....but my hero(ine)is. ...My Mother, Cisley Annette, I am so Blessed....and guess what??? She is from the Spice Isle of...
..
yes so i mix up.....so wuh!!!
I found this really wonderful and probably the best thing you can say to someone you truly love!

I am said to be friendly and easy to talk to, hence my phone is a 24-hour call center. Recently I have become very involved in marriage and relationship issues which is harder than dealing with people with medical challenges. C'est la vie! I do have quite a bit of experience in all areas. "I never advertise but those who seek and are in need...always find me..."
And where do i get the energy? God provides it every second of the day by re-fueling my engine! HE is wonderful that way!
Most of my time and energy is spent (these days) in the development of the youth in all art forms. I spend countless hours with Cherish (Breedy) who I might add is developing quite well, she started with the Richard Stoute Teen Talent contest, won that twice, just entered NIFCA (September 2009) and won two Bronze Medals (she is happy ), I really thought it was good for persons interested in displaying their various talent but 'same script, different name!' Watch out for Cherish though there are lots of huge things planned...the one that stands out at this moment is that at 13 she is the youngest artiste to be nominated in Barbados for BEST NEW ARTISTE in the 2010 Barbados Music Awards, she will also be performing a special song....will be revealed at the BMA in 2010....I am in the process of 'taking on' another talented young 'un more on that individual later... UPDATE on Cherish - she attended the BMA's in a dress she designed, performed in the tribute to Michael Jackson - the entire tribute was awesome - you may view excerpts on FACEBOOK. (she looked kinda cute too!). SHe attended the showcase and I am speaking to possible individuals and companies who are interested in signing and her further development. CONGRATULATIONS to all those who won awards and special congratulations from Cherish and her management team to Chad "Sir Ruel" Bowen who won the award for the Best New Artist!" There is so much talent in this country!! Just keep checking the Barbados Entertainment scene. We also want to thank Ronnie Morris, Marguerita Breedy-Haynes, Cynthia Wilson, Farakhan Stephens, Anita Holder (Black Opal), Cedric Mayers for the fabulous job he did in creating the early hairstyle of Janette Jackson, Shelly, Step Beyond and all those who assisted in making her night very special. Of course her Mom Maxine who is always there for her. Ria Borman made us so proud on that night and her collaboration with the special guest Fantasia was simply awesome! I look forward to her progression as well!
more about me..I started my theatre experience with tutoring from: Elton "Elombe" Mottley, Monica Procope, Daphne Joseph-Hackett (deceased),Bodger "Kofi Akobi" Gittens (all from Barbados) Alwyn Bully (Dominica), Slade Hopkinson (deceased) (Jamaica), Ken Corsbie (Guyana)and Derek Walcott (St. Lucia). (I always remember to mention their names) because with out them in those early years...i maynot have been involved in this art....or would I? hhmmm!
Sweeping the stage was my first job...and for one (1) year I did just that along with fetching and carrying. I continued and had training in all aspects of theatre. I have worked on and with several productions, performed locally, in the UK, Canada, the USA as well as a few countries in the Caribbean and countless locally of course. I am also known as the voice for certain radio stations and the character for some television ads.
Mine has been an experience I won't EVER forget.
Over 27 years ago I started directing plays and my first play.."Run for your wife" was a huge success, that was done through the Green Room Players and I thank Jeffrey Evanson, the Chairman at the time, for that opportunity, which would have come..maybe a bit later. the Soroptomists Village in Eden Lodge was started from funds received from that production. Dame Olga Lopes-Seale was the co-producer with the Green Room Players.
From that time until to now, I have directed several plays, produced, planned events, taught drama, managed calypso tents, managed talent in music and theatre, providing opportunities for young people interested in culture as well as operated as a consultant for groups and individuals.
My present occupation is developing young people in music and theatre as well as planning and coordinating events. I do stage management quite a lot as well, both locally and overseas. I spent most of 2008 and 2009 working with Richard Stoute GCM, BSS, founder of the Teen Talent Contest which has been running for the past 33 years. It was an awesome year for him (Mr Stoute, reaching 63, in show biz for 53 years and the teen talent marking its 33rd year not to mention receiving from the Government of Barbados, The Gold Crown of Merit GCM., the third highest award to be given by the Barbados Government) and the winners who through Kirk Brown CEO of Good Vybz Inc and headliner & bandleader of Strategy recorded their first singles which will be released at their alma mater yes they are both students - past & present of the) Garrison Secondary School on th e20th of February, the 13th birthday of 6-12 winner Cherish Breedy. I continue to be proud of this child...she is now the youngest performer in Barbados to be nominated for an award in the 2010 Barbados Music Awards - for Best New Artist - even if she does not win she is still MY winner...(at 13), More news - Cherish entered NIFCA this year and is a finalist with the two songs we entered..."I'm the One" (her first single) and "Footprints!" Will keep you posted on the results and about her.. you can check out her space - www.myspace.com/cherish246
I promise I will add more to the above but this is all time will permit right now. Because I promised to include some of my work, set I thought I wiould add a few productions...More later. Thanks, Bless!

The defeat for the State, having to openly declare that Mumia will live, and the fact that they can no longer legally execute Mumia, has meant a severe backlash. After his transfer off of death row, Mumia was thrown in the hole at SCI Mahanoy.
The prison administration excuse that "paperwork" is holding up his transfer to general population in this medium security prison is transparent. The disinformation is part of the strategy to create confusion and disorient. Make no mistake. These conditions are clearly designed torture. They are being enacted to to silence Mumia and us.
Mumia Abu-Jamal is being held in extremely repressive conditions. And like thousands of prisoners, residents of solitary confinement and isolation units in every hole in every prison across the country, Mumia is being subject to draconian, dehumanizing and brutal conditions. Solitary confinement. He is shackled whenever he is outside his cell, even to the shower. He is shackled around his ankles, waist and wrist. He is shackled while behind Plexiglas during visits. Subject to strip searches before and after visits. Unable to walk freely. Having bits of paper to write notes on, with a rubber flex pen. No shelves, 4 books. No access to news reports, letters delayed. Restricted visiting. Glaring lights on 24 hours a day. Only one brief phone call to his wife. No access to adequate food or commissary. These conditions are worse than death row.
1) Write, Phone, and email the Secretary of Corrections: Demand that Mumia be transferred to General Population! And demand the shutdown of RHU (Restricted Housing Unit) Torture Blocks!
