Movin her fists faster than Oscar De La Hoya

C: That's her style, that's her play. Stretchin me out for miles in every way
Where there's sunshine, she's the ray. Yah my girl brings the color to my grey

V2: Mayday! Somebody should save me

Where there's sunshine, she's the ray. Yah my girl brings the color to my grey

So go blaze a trail if you think I failed, yah prove what you need to prove
Start runnin, go rid your doubts, start runnin, go get me out of your system
If that's what you need to do

C: Watch those waves, they'll carry you home, carry you back to me
And these days since you've been gone feel like a century ohhh

V2: Well baby you wreck me like a bomb then you soothe me like a slow song
Act like you forget me when you're gone, then you swear that I'm all that you want
Apart or together, it's easy to choose, no you're not easy to lose
Come runnin, come work your charms, come runnin back to my arms
No it can't be to soon till I...

C: Watch those waves, they'll carry you home, carry you back to me
And these days since you've been gone feel like a century ohhh
Well I have faith no matter how far or how long you've been sailing
I'll watch those waves carry you home, carry you back to me

B: And whenever you're stranded I'm right where you are
Don't ever think that you've drifted too far
Ohh hunny come back to shore, there's nothing worth searching for
I've got all you need and more, ohhh

C: Watch those waves, they'll carry you home, carry you back to me, back to me baby
And these days since you've been gone feel like a century, an eternity love
Well I have faith no matter how far or how long you've been sailing

A heart that's out of reach up on the shelf
See usually it's not as bad as it may seem
But when you feel cut down to size put your hands in mine

C: When the world has a finger down on the trigger
and goes to pull it, I will take the bullet for you, oh oh oh oh

    I am here for you

V2: It must be hard always keeping up your guard
You paint a picture with your tears, it's a work of art
But don't forget that I would never let you stand out on a land mine
I'll be there to help you shine

C: When the world has a finger down on the trigger
and goes to pull it, I will take the bullet for you, oh oh oh oh
If you're scared of the thunder or from going under
Then at the right time I'll be the lifeline for you oh oh oh oh
    I am here for you

  • New Chad Doucette e.ps available!

Hey there! I have some very exciting news! My new 5 song e.ps are now available! This record has been in the process of being finished for many months and is finally here! It was recorded in Vancouver at the legendary Warehouse studios, with help from my good friend Don McLeod, as well as my producer, and drummer of the band "Default", Danny Craig at the helm of it all. We had Daniel Adair, drummer from Nickleback come on board to play on it, as well as great musicians from bands such as Default and Jet Black Stare. I was truly blessed to work with amazing people to get this record ready, not to mention all the great co-writers I worked with on these songs.
This 5 songs e.p is available either for $10 at any of my shows, which I keep posted on my facebook, as well as at www.myspace.com/chaddoucettemusic. And I hope to have many of those in the new year! :) Or you can order yours by sending a cheque or money order for $12 (10 for the cd, and 2 for shipping) to 9 Brookside Lane, East Chezzetcook, Nova Scotia, P.O Box 213, B0J 1N0. If you have any other questions about how to get your feel free to email debbiead@eastlink.ca or call (902)827-2438 for more information.
I am very excited about this e.p, it shows a slightly edgier side of me which I hope you all will truly enjoy as much as I enjoyed making it. There is a limited supply I must warn you, so the sooner you grab yours the better! If we do have a shortage of cd's more will be ordered asap and you will be informed about it, but dont take that chance!;)
It was a busy 2008 and hopefully with this new e.p, it will be an even busier and successful 2009!
Thank you all so much, and I hope you can pick one up, and either way, all the best in 2009!
    Cheers,
    Chad Doucette
