    .. .. .. Kojo “Easy” Damptey is a music producer, song writer, keyboardist, composer and poet. He was born and raised in Accra, Ghana. .. At a young age of 17 he moved to Hamilton, Canada to pursue an education at McMaster University studying Chemical Engineering. His undergraduate journey allowed him to cross paths with music. With a whirl wind of knowledge at university he began to surround himself with all genres of music. Once engulf in a vast array of music he began spending his extra time in beat making. .. .. As years went by his new found love morphed into picking up an instrument; “if you can sample old school music why not try to play it”. Countless night of practicing and watching clips of keyboardist such as Herbie Hancock, Donnie Hathaway, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and Tyrone Downie gave him the confidence and courage to play on and learn more. .. .. .. In 2007 he co-produced Kae Sun’s EP titled Ghost Town Prophecy with Jordan Abraham and Kae Sun. It included a song “Living in the city” which he co-wrote with Kae Sun. .. A year later he joined forces with Nicola Moore to record a jazzy soulful tune “Ways on My Own” which made it to the Honey Jam Circuit in Toronto. .. .. ..
