  • Bio

.. .......... .... .... Get In Line was formed in the spring of 2005 in New Orleans, LA. Parker Gabriel (PCG) and Andrew Alwert (j Andrew) came together with a simple purpose. The result was an allegiance of electronic music with a distinct focus on traditional instruments. The two came from very different backgrounds but shared one commonality, passion to create something provocative. J Andrew, a studio engineer by trade, moved from Miami back to NOLA in early 2005 to seek out an artist with whom he could work freely, without any specific agenda. Multi-instrumentalist, Parker Gabriel (PCG) had been actively searching for someone to record and understand the emotions behind the experimental music that was being born. The idea seemed far fetched at the time, but within a few months the duo was together, experimenting around the clock. August 29, 2005, hurricane Katrina changed the lives of many and temporarily divided GIL. This ultimately brought the two closer. As a result, the music reached a higher ground. The passion infused in the music became more and more apparent. Hours became more intense. Night would easily become day and the duo would stay hungry for more. Get In Line’s perspective on music had overall reached an apex. April 22, 2009, GIL released their self titled debut globally. Immediately the album started receiving 5 stars and selling to a diverse audience. After going through so much darkness, Get In line remains resilient. Anything is possible through music. .... .. .. .. .. .. ....
