    Arrived Malta,jet lagged until Sunday,Monday felt like here for a week already.Tuesday night hit by headcold,Wed. full blown Flu,in bed trying to cook virus.Thursday back to head cold and foggy boat trip around Valletta and Three Cities.Friday back to Valletta and then tour of Three Cities on the road side.Must get back to Mdina to finish tour,missed dungeons and museum.

About me:

I grew up in a multicultural city with many types of nationalities who escaped the ravages of WW2 and started a new life. Many did not forget their past and many hoped to return home someday. Being born in Australia I am Australian and Ukrainian. My parents were Ukrainian and so it became natural to attend Ukrainian school and belong to youth groups and dance groups. An early age of guitar lessons and hours of practice dancing Ukrainian dances at functions gave me a good grounding in appreciating music from all around the World. One should not forget their heritage or the diversity of their unique culture,as this is the basis of our nations ability to create character and differences that makes for a rich civilisation. Heaven forbid that we go the path of commonality,uniformity and simplicity. We will end up bland ,uninteresting just like the takeaways we now eat. May we always have our diverse musical ears and the ability,freedom to express those sounds that bring us all to the emotions of a full life. Other interests include fishing(never enough time).Watching good comedy and acting.Tennis,never enough time to play like the early days.Reading,watching movies(all types, old and new,SF,Fantasy,Fiction,Action and old Musical Comedy), Trawling the internet on myspace and YouTube looking for great music and people. I also keep busy by volunteering with St John Ambulance Australia.(More commonly known on Groups sites as "BWBilby1") and local Heart Support Group ,for those who have had a CABG (pronounced 'cabbage') Cardio Arterial Bypass Graft)and family supporters.

    Rock(50's, 60's, 70's). Classical, Blues(some), Bluegrass, Jazz(some), Klezma, Movie themes, Traditional of most countries(incl. Asian throat, Georgian, Ukrainian.     As above include Nature and historical and anything to do with science, space the Earth etc.etc.Loved Blake's 7, and Dr Who and Star Trek, Twilight Zone etc.

    As above include classics of ancient history ie Homer.Early Greek Wars.A good Sci Fi doesn't go astray once in a while.Must have action or humour or both.

  • Heroes

    The old comic heroes are now dead or at least are now film writers puppets and will never be the same.In the long dark past of history. The Cossacks and freedom fighters of Ukraine. In todays life heroes are few but Jane Goodall,Dian Fossey,Sir David Attenborough,Dr Fred Hollows,Steven Hawking just off the top of my head. Actually, the real heroes of my life are the Drs and nurses at Prince Charles Hospital, my family and close friends who put up with me at home,at work and at St John Volunteer Duties and finally, the poor organisers of events I attend.
