Well...'Modern Recording Techniques' is rather exquisite for the course I'm doing and building one's own studio! Truthfully though...the only book I fully read properly is Marilyn Manson's autobiography 'The Long Hard Road Out of Hell' or something...that's ace! About me:
..I play guitar//mandolin/sing/write songs in a couple bands 1) Giddy Kipper (www.myspace.com/giddykipperband) - fun, kinda folk rock pop indie punk funk lol, I dunno, hard to pigeonhole! 2) The Gubgubs - a little project with my buddy Dan (www.myspace.com/thegubgubs), 3) The Jimmy Knocks - an Irish project (www.myspace.com/thejimmyknocks). I've also started composing music for films, and more recently than ever been doing some solo stuff, which I don't know will ever see the light of day, but there ya go! (for more info go to www.myspace.com/cjscott35) So that's the band thing...now education - I'm currently studying BA (Hons) Music Technology at Huddersfield Uni. I wanna be a music teacher. Well that's the plan. There's a few things doing this course has opened me up to though, like film scoring, Foley work, Tour managing, obviously engineering. Maybe radio! Also I wanna go on tour (if I'm a teacher I guess that means in summer!) And I'd eventually like to get Hardcore Prawn Recording Studios off the ground! So major interests and career aside who am I? I'm a dude who loves hanging out with me good ole maties, avin a blast partying, and all the usual social hoo-har, you know, gig-gig-giggedys and movies and other adventures like travelling, camping trips and gettin lairy!
