The Bogmen are back! All original line-up, independent and just released a new EP "Lookin for Heaven in the Barrio". There's a new album on the way and the Tina Fey movie featuring lead singer Billy Campion's alter ego "Vic Thrill" named "Vic Thrill and Curly Oxide" is back in pre-production with a release date of 2011.
I think they would make an excellent headliner who will draw their own large crowd. They just sold out two dates at the Highline Ballroom in May, and have sold out the Nokia Theater (Times Square), The Bowery Ballroom, Webster Hall in recent years. They of course also played two now legendary sold out 9/11 benefit shows at Irving Plaza with the Flaming Lips as co-headliner in December 2001.
