Bio
When performing live Rob varies his arrangements, often using a looping station to layer percussion, vocal harmonies, guitar, and kitchenware. Though lacking basic driving skills and completely devoid of road sense, Rob has brought his solo act out to countless venues ranging from coffee shops to restaurants, farmers markets to neighborhood taverns, and charity events to house concerts.
On stage, Rob is often accompanied by one or more of the following:
- El Papagayo Grande (a.k.a. Boss RC-50)
- El Papagayo Rojo Con Pilas (a.k.a. Boss RC-20)
- El Papagayo Automatico (a.k.a. Digitech Jamman)

Bio
A voracious listener of traditional music from around the world, Rob draws from genres such as hi-life, griot, bossa nova, and classic jazz to create a backdrop for songs about real and fictional characters. Unlike Rob, these colorful characters get involved in such endeavors as riding public transit in West Africa, surviving lightning strikes, and holding up banks. Rob this is great music! You've got good songs, definately think I can add an ingredient or two to it, for trying's sake. Musical tahini sauce etc, love the percussions.
We should co-ordinate some dates
Aw Rob! Thank you for listening to the cd. It was very sweet of you to stay and listen yesterday.
I'm so glad we made the cd trade! Your songs are wonderful. We listened to you the whole way home and you were a hit all around. And you used the Mayan number system!! So cool!
Hola Rob! Taylor sent out a message asking as many of us as possible to be at the 10:30 dance class, because he can't be there...so I just wanted to pass along the msg....didn't have your cell #, and couldn't remember which email was yours, hence myspace....nice music, btw.
psst...cd release show on june 23rd!
Hey Rob, Just got your message now, man, that's a bummer to hear about Winds Cafe. I wish I had made it out to Town Hall this week, but I'll be there next Monday if you're down. Hit me up!
