....Isola Dusk.. is a new collaboration of established talent, combining influences of Scandanavian and Hispanic Folk, Blues and Dub with a backbone of UK Dubstep and House. Ben Blackmore on electric and acoustic guitar, Alice Marie-Archer providing vocals and Pete Thomas on production... ..Ben and Pete have been working together since 2007 with releases on Soul Motive, Punch Drunk and Immerse, support from Gilles Peterson, Mary Anne Hobbs and others. Acclaimed as ‘the must head turning Dubstep productions in the UK’ by one of the leading scene journalists (Martin Blackdown). In 2009, Alice, returning from Reykjavik in 2009, brought her beautiful writing and vocals comparable to Lamb and Portishead. .. ..Composed of the stirring guitars, lyrics; founded in the expansive silence and deep seasonal shifts of Scandinavia, of embracing soundscapes, and unsettling contagious beats, Isola Dusk harbours a unique sound.
