You probably wouldn't see him coming. Up and coming producer, Jaywan, is already changing the game from indie to major. Producing tracks for artists such as Young Jeezy, Plies, Flo-Rida, Lil Boosie, Trey Songz, Bobby Valentino, Paul Wall, Lil Keke, Juelz Santana, Slick Pulla, Bone Thugs N Harmony, Do Or Die, Red Cafe, Bump J, Boot Camp Click, Sqad Up, Spot, Topic, and D Block amongst others, the future is bright. "I always listened to the beat first rather than the lyrics when I was growing up. I knew I wanted to be the guy who made the music instead of the guy rapping'" says Jay. Listening to everything from disco, soul, rock, pop and eventually delving into hip hop and r&b in 1990, its hard to believe he's only been producing for 8 years. Music runs in Jay's blood, as his grandmother was a famous opera and folk singer up until the 1990s when she retired.
