Kaiju Records was formed by independent musicians and artists with the dream of acting more as a distributor and promoter rather than a life sentence. All of the founding members of Kaiju Records were born and raised in Vienna, Virginia and are currently part of another organization known as Project Grapefruit, a creative collective of young people set on utilizing the power of the internet in new, interesting, and effective ways.

At Kaiju Records, we aim to actually assist musicians rather than sap their money and stunt their creativity. Hopefully, we will establish a community of like-minded acts; artists who create new, original, interesting, and honest music.

This is a weird band based out of Vienna, Virginia, near Washington DC. Although they clearly associate themselves with "rock" music, they often utilize strange instruments like the accordion and the euphonium. Mason Shelby and Paul Tsiaperas started playing together in 2000, when they were both in 7th grade. Armed with only a euphonium, a keyboard, and one drum, they recorded a pretty shitty tape for which they designed a shitty cover and tricked most of their friends into buying it. After a few years of experimenting and recording bad music, Mason and Paul went out and bought a guitar and a bass (respectively), in an effort to become more “rock” and less “shitty”. Paul and Mason played and practiced almost exclusively with each other, developing a powerful chemistry and an almost psychic link that allowed them to read each other, performing as a unit rather than individuals. The Norman RockWells formed in Richmond, Virginia, in late 2006. Originally consisting of Evan Hume, Collin Joyce, and Nate Waggoner, Jake Riggs was added as a permanent member after some early recordings were made. The music of the Norman RockWells recalls the golden age of pop music. They are the self-proclaimed pioneers of the electrocomic genre. Listening to the sounds produced by the duo can be both disorienting and confusing, but let's assume that is the point. In a relentless wave of electronics, Richard "Richy" Scott and George "Georgie" Manson somehow manage to entertain and perhaps even educate through their cut up and scrambled sampling from across the pond in Tunbridge Wells, United Kingdom. The lyrics seem to be humorous, although sometimes the hilarity seems to be some sort of inside joke; we are expected to laugh along anyway.
