    LANGSUYR was created by Bentara and Azmaniac in the mid of 1991, and they've been only a two-piece band since then until they found it hard to rehearse when Bentara's playing the guitar and singing while Azmaniac handling the drums. So, they've decided to recruit Azlan, who handles the vocals and Ajiz playing the drums. Azmaniac then became a rhythm guitarist. With this line up, in 1993, they've recorded their one and only demo "Occultus Mysticism" which gained a wide response worldwide. People tend to know LANGSUYR better from it's "Occultus Mysticism". Recorded in Universal Studio, Klang, this demo perhaps was the best ever produced by a Malaysian band at that time. The demo was sold out rapidly and an agreement was made between LANGSUYR and EAST GOTHIC PRODUCTIONS to re-release the demo professionally for 500 copies. And again, in 1994, the "Occultus Mysticism" hits the street and sold out in a short time, and there are still demands on it. The demand is perhaps the best thing to show that LANGSUYR had reached the stardom. Since then too, LANGSUYR had made few gigs, the most successful gig was 'The Nocturn Feast' held in their hometown in 25th December 1994. LANGSUYR had also featured in numerous compilation tapes and underground magazines. Deals were also been negotiated, but nothing came in reality. LANGSUYR has decided to remain silence. 1996 sees the dark clouds cover the Malaysian scene, when LANGSUYR finally awake and release their second masterpiece. The release of "The Eastern Cruelty" EP, was the turning point for the so-called Eastern Metal scene in the region, despite the poor production. The EP gained positive response from the masses and even able to create new fans just after listening to it! In 1998 the entered the studio again to record two tracks for the highly-acclaimed IPOH METAL MILITANT SUPREMACISTS which offers the progression they have been walking through along these years. At that time, the used Wira as a drummer. In 1999, things started to shift. Due to other interest, the band members had decided to make rest of the band. In early 2005, the band members have started to meet again. The original members, Azmaniac and Bentara made a new commitment for a new release, which was promised in the inlay of THE EASTERN CRUELTY ep. After more than 10 years of existence, the year 2006, ASYIK was born! 2007 - Bullet (2nd Album) was last recorded with Bentara is yet to accomplished (mix & master) until now. And sadly, BENTARA is officially no longer with LANGSUYR! Wishing him & family..happily ever after! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Assalamualaikum! Tanggal May 1991 merupakan detik yang bersejarah bagi kami kerana itulah permulaannya band ini. Dianggotai oleh tiga rakan sepermainan, Azlanthor, Azmaniac dan Bentara yang ketika itu masih berada di bangku sekolah. LANGSUYR dipilih sebagai nama band yang bermotifkan muzik Death Metal ini atas sebab keunikan nama tersebut sedangkan tatkala itu band yang seiringan dengannya masih sibuk dengan elemen kebaratan. Tahun 1993, LANGSUYR mencuba pasaran Death Metal tempatan dengan rilisan demo OCCULTUS MYSTICISM. Ianya mendapat sambutan yang amat luas dalam scene tempatan. Asalnya tape dubbing sendiri itu telah dibantu rilisnya oleh East Gothic Production dengan produksi kilang yang lebih bermutu. Semuanya habis disapu bersih. Kalau anda mempunya kaset asal tersebut, sesungguhnya anda telah memiliki salah satu khazanah negara! Berbekalkan dengan sambutan dan semangat yang semakin giat, mereka masuk kembali ke studio, kali ini dengan sokongan Nebiula Production untuk rilisan mini album THE EASTERN CRUELTY pada tahun 1996. Lahirnya mini album ini menyaksikan perubahan paradigma yang berlaku pada scene Death Metal tempatan yang mana munculnya istilah Eastern Metal selepas rilisan tersebut. LANGSUYR telah menjadi satu nama sebutan di bibir peminat muzik sebegini, bahkan telah menerobos ke scene antarabangsa. Tahun-tahun yang berikutnya menjadi kelam kerana penggiatnya telah mula sibuk dengan kehidupan masing-masing. Album yang dijanjikan akan keluar selepas THE EASTERN CRUELTY tidak kunjung tiba tetapi sebaliknya disambut dengan rilisan dua lagu baru di dalam kompilasi IPOH METAL MILITANT SUPREMACIST pada tahun 1998. Akhirnya, LANGSUYR telah dikuburkan pada tahun 2000. Alhamdulillah akhirnya album pertama LANGSUYR berjaya diriliskan tahun 2005 sebagai menunaikan janji kami 10 tahun yang lampau. Hampir sedekad lamanya untuk merealisasikan Awaiting The Malay Album ini dan keinginan mencetuskan keghairahan kepada peminat Death Metal tempatan seperti dulu-dulu hampir berjaya kali ini. Sekali lagi anjakan paradigma dilakukan. Usia yang semakin meningkat telah memberi kesan dalam pembikinan lagu, penampilan dan gaya. Asalnya LANGSUYR dianggap sebagai band Black Metal akan dikikiskan. Persepsi masyarakat tentang peminat Death/Black Metal sebagai penyembah syaitan dan pembenci tuhan diharap dapat dibuang jauh-jauh. MANA MUNGKIN KERANA MUZIK perkara ini boleh berlaku? Sungguh tidak berasas dan kurang ajar. Persepsi yang salah dan tidak tepat ini diharapkan dijawab dengan rilisan ini. Muzik Barat yang terkenal dengan gaya hedonism (tidak apa jenisnya; pop, rock, jazz, blues, hip hop etc), telah diolah mengikut kesesuaian orang timur. Penerapan yang tidak sesuai dengan gaya hidup rantau ini telah dikikis jauh dari pandangan. Death Metal yang asalnya dari barat tidak semestinya kekal barat. Ianya bukanlah satu undang-undang yang mana semua peminatnya mesti akur. Sebaliknya, ia menawarkan ruang untuk dimanipulasi mengikut kesesuaian penggiatnya. Itulah yang akan anda dapati dalam album ini. 2007 - Bullet (Album Kedua) dirakamkan kali terakhir bersama Bentara & masih menghadapi masalah mixing dan mastering sehingga harii ini,2010.. Dan secara rasminya saudara BENTARA telah pun meninggalkan kem LANGSUYR untuk komitmen keluarganya. Diharapkan kesejahteraan beliau & keluarga berterusan.Amin.
