Just booked a show for August at TT the Bear's, one of my favorite places to play and my first time playing there solo. I'll be in support of Chris Shiflett and the Dead Peasants and Ari Shine on their national tour.
You may know Chris as guitarist of the Foo Fighters, but his solo material is a cool new direction for him and I think you'll really dig what he's been working on with his new band. Check out his myspace for tunes and details on his new project. Also be sure to listen to some Ari Shine while you're at it, really cool stuff. Can't wait for this show, it's going to be killer and I'm honored to be in support of these guys.
In other news I'm getting underway with my new recording studio (aka the basement of my new place) and once things are set up I plan on recording some new tracks and getting some more music out to the world. Thanks for being patient with me as I've been off the map for a while, but we're restarting the bloodflow and I promise great things to close out 2010.
And of course, check me out on facebook where I do most of my updating, and become a fan and say hi if you like what you hear.
Rock on friends and hope to see you at TT's on August 11th.
Thanks to everyone who came out to All Asia on he 24th for the show. That was a great turn-out and I hope you all had a good time, your support means the world.
I'm going to be off the radar for a few weeks working on some new music but hope to have some more shows in August and into the fall to try out some of the material I've been working on. I'm also finishing up my new recording space, and once that's done I'm going to start work on my legit debut release... no more of this demo recording business, the good stuff is on the way.
As most of you know myspace has been fading fast so just a reminder that for the latest news and show info, you should check out my facebook here. I check up on myspace every now and then, but you know, it's just not the same 'round here as it used to be. The times they are a-changing...
Keep rockin friends, thanks for checking up and I'll see you at the next gig, whenever and wherever that may be...
The band is taking a break after our debut CD release back in January, so I'm venturing out into the solo world to keep music close and see where it takes me.
If you're a venue looking to book shows, I would love the opportunity to prove myself in the solo circuit. And I'll bring people, and they'll drink your beer and tip your bartenders. Promise.
If you're a friend or a fan, keep your eyes on the schedule and I hope you can make it out to a gig. Every show is different, from the songs to the vibe, and your feedback and support mean the world to me. And of course there's nothing like a group of people coming together in the experience of music. That's the best part of life in my opinion.
Thanks for checking in on me and I hope to see you from the stage soon.
Me and the band have this big show Friday night. And we don't want to go it alone.
So, you need to be there. Here's what you need to know to make it happen...
FRIDAY 8/22
COPPERFIELD'S 98 Brookline Ave (down the street from Fenway Park) Boston 7:30pm doors
8pm: The Woulda Couldas 9pm: Someday Rome 10pm: Miskatonic 11pm: SHIP HIGH IN TRANSIT 12am: The Operative
The show is 21+, and tickets are $10 in advance/$12 at the door. Either way that's 5 bands for dollars a piece, and these other bands playing are going to rock the place so you'll want to catch as much of this show as possible.
How do you get those cheaper tickets in advance, you ask???
Easy... go here...
http://SLYROX.COM/
Look for the 8/22 Copperfield's show featuring yours truly and the other bands above. Buy tickets and pick them up at the door when you come.
How easy is that? And it saves you $2 a head, good deal.
So again, we're wicked pumped for this show. This stage in prime time on a Friday night is incredible and want to show the scene that we deserve to be there. And that means we need YOU to come out and show us some love.
If you have been putting off seeing this year's 3-man incarnation for whatever reason, this is the show to hit and we would really appreciate it. We've got a couple crazy things planned for this one, and, not to show too many cards from our hand, but you may not be able to catch Ship High version 2.0 for much longer. I will leave it at that.
Message us or email us at shiphigh@gmail.com if you have questions, and spread the word! If you bring people we will soon have some free t-shirts (by the next show, hopefully) to reward you with. As a sign of thanks, from us to you et al.
Rock on friends, and I hope to see you in a few days.
