Little Barrie is a London based three piece band influenced Rhythm and Blues,Garage Rock,Surf,Soul and Rock 'n' Roll. .. .. Originally started in Nottingham 1999.The first demo recording was picked up by Jazzman records sister imprint Stark Reality.The first single "Shrug off Love" b/w "Reply Me (It Don't Deny Me)" was released in July 2000. .. .. After moving to London in September that year the band released two further singles on Stark Reality before meeting former Orange Juice frontman and prolific solo artist/producer Edwyn Collins in 2002 to record their fourth single. Without doubt meeting Edwyn was vital to the bands progress. Enthusiastic to record more Collins offered to produce their first album "We Are Little Barrie" in his own West Heath Yard studio. .. .. After touring around Europe,Japan,Australia and a few shows in the US the band began recording their second album "Stand Your Ground" with Gorrilaz producer Dan The Automator in Brooklyn with Mike Pelanconi in the UK. .. .. The band continued to tour the world picking up support slots with Paul Weller and Primal Scream and have also worked as session musicians on a variety of projects. .. .. Liltte Barries third album 'King of the Waves' recorded once again at West Heath Yard is to be released in December in Japan and early in the New Year in Europe. .. ..
