Longevity Fitness Clubs featured in cover story for respected fitness industry publication.

VERO BEACH, FL - Small town health clubs, Longevity Fitness Club & Spa and Longevity Max, grab the spotlight in leading health, racquet and sports club industry news publication, Club Insider.  Club Insider spent a day in Vero Beach interviewing Steve and Bonnie Pfiester, visiting both their health clubs. The publication will be in print and distributed to over 10,000 club owners, operators and industry leaders worldwide on Monday, June 15th.

The story, entitled ‘The Dynamic Duo behind Longevity Fitness’ includes an in-depth and personal interview of the Pfiesters and their passion for the health club industry.  “Combining Fun and the power of Relationships, they are changing lives every day, and that is what our industry is all about,” says Justin Cates of Club Insider.

“We want to encourage businesses to get more involved in their communities and for health club owners to connect personally with their members. Health clubs are not like gas stations – they are personal and require personal contact and relationships”, says Bonnie Pfiester, co-owner of Longevity Clubs. “In this economy, consumers should get better service than ever. Old-business ‘mom and pop’ principles are refreshing and appreciated in a day where computers and impersonal contacts are so prevalent.

“With this story, my only hope is that I can successfully convey the vigor, conviction and love the Pfiester’s have for helping the people of their community live better lives, and with their two, mid-size facilities…they are doing just that.” Jusin Cates.

  • Support our REAL Boot Campers this Christmas

    GIFTS FOR OUR TROOPS
We are collecting gifts for our troops this year. We will be shipping a package overseas to help some of the troops who don't get mail feel the Joy of the holiday. A list of ideas include gum, nuts, trail mix, granola, protein bars, packaged snacks, non-melting candy socks, portable games, batteries, gloves, magazines, gift cards and phone cards to name a few. A complete list is available at the club. We also would LOVE it if you write a personal letter thanking them for what they have given up for our freedom.

    HIBISCUS CHILDREN'S HOME
We are also collecting gifts for the Hibiscus Children's Home again this year. Just pick a child from the basket at the front desk and make a child's christmas special! Each child writes down their wish list and all you do is bring the unwrapped gift back to the club for pick up. We are one of the area's largest sources for donations so they really rely on our support. Thanks!

STAFF: We will NOT be doing secret Santa this year. Instead, we ask that you spend that money you would normally spend on eachother to spend on gifts for the troops. I will take a group photo to send along with our gifts to make it more personal.

    Merry Christmas everyone!

  • Week 3, the Halfway Point

We are done with week 3 and we're at our halway point. Congratualtions girls! I must say, aside from weight loss and muscle gain, many of you are doing things you never dreamed possible. Although every boot camp session is brutal, you are stronger and have more indurance than the last one. Of course when you are in the middle of it, it is almost impossible to see the big picture - but that's what we are here for.

Today I received an email from a boot camper sharing her recent victory. Robin did her first boot camp in February. Like many of you, she hardly could run a few steps without getting winded much less run a 5K. Yesterday she ran her first 5K without walking one step. A much skinnier and stronger woman, Robin shared with me "You guys will never know the full extent of what you are doing for all of us. I truly feel there is nothing I cannot do if I set my mind to it and work hard now."

Not only did she run a 5K, but she went straight to the gym to show her team trainer, Paula, her number (time) and went on to take her Step Class. There were several other boot campers who ran that same 5K yesterday, several who would have never even thought to participate in something like that.

Just realize, as you are merely 3 weeks into our program - you are just scraping the surface for what's ahead. Many of you may even decide to take a few boot camps until you reach your goal. Others will use this boot camp to kick start a healthy lifestyle. Either way, don't take what you are doing lightly. You are all doing an amazing thing. There are very few people who are willing to work this hard - and I promise, your hard work will pay off if you are giving your diet the same effort you are giving in boot camp.

Many of you have already told me you are already amazed with what you have physically accomplished. Although each of you would probably agree, many of you are impatient and want to see the physical changes at a superpower speed. Don't let your impatience get you down - be realistic. Most people are victorious losing just 1-2 pounds a week - much less gaining any muscle or getting more fit. You can't get fit any faster than what you are doing in this program. As long as your diets are clean and you are counting those calories and doing your training - you WILL succeed!!

The first 3 weeks you get stronger, you gain muscle and lose a little fat. The next 3 weeks you'll continue to lose fat and begin to visually see what's been going on inside your body over the first half of this program. Now it's time to watch it all unfold!

    Bonnie
