    Hey folks,

Back in 2002, I decided that I am in absolute love with writing songs.
Lots of songs. I think being a prolific artist is one of the most
rewarding approaches to music for any rapper/songwriter/dog fucker,
because you get to experiment with tons of new sounds and styles. It
also keeps your mental cod-knife sharp (I've been watching lots of "The
Deadliest Catch" lately, so be prepared for some Bering Sea themes in
    this writing.)

Obviously, another reward of being a prolific and highly productive
artist, is that fans/friends/enemies/Opilio crab fanatics, get a highly
loaded batch of material to sift through. The rule for me, was make
sure you don't work on songs just to work on songs. Don't force stuff.
So while I have like 9 trillion songs finished at a time, I only have
about 15 that I think people should hear. Thus; I created the Love
Potion Collection. A CD project that I don't really approach as a whole
musically conceptualized piece. The songs don't necessarily tie
together with each other, and there is definitely a lack of
cohesiveness with some of the songs. Sometimes, hell, some people think
my Love Potion Collection discs are better than my albums. Which made
me decide that I needed to re-release Love Potion Collection 1 and Love
    Potion Collection 2.

Love Potion Collection 1 was an assortment of songs written in
2002/2003. My friend Sage Francis invited me to go on the Fuck Clear
Channel tour, and since I didn't have any sort of record deal at the
time. Or album for that matter. I decided to find my favorite 14-15
tracks I had laying around, and press them up on a CD.

Love Potion Collection 2 was the exact same concept. Except these were
my favorite 16 nomadic songs I had laying around, that I pressed to CD
to sell on the P.O.S Is Ruining My Life Tour in 2006. Some people say
this is my best piece of music in terms of lyric writing.

So Black Clover Records has decided to no longer make them "Out of
print" and re-release these bad boys! Both have new packaging, brand
new covers (LPC1 is my dad after running the Oakland marathon/ LPC2 is
me getting my haircut when I was 4 years old in my suede Adidas Campus
shoes). Also, I autographed ALL of the cds before we shrink wrapped
them. The autograph is actually INSIDE the shrink wrap. So if you
decide to purchase 2 of them, you can save 1 for your collection, and
    listen to the other one.

I suggest you buy Love Potion Collections 1 and 2 together, get some
popcorn, and go on a ride through my early 20's as a rapper. And do
yourself a favor and check all the new glassware in the store...as well
as a Mac Lethal Dog Bowl.

    Current mood:knighted

A lot of people have written me messages telling me this Barrel Aged Vol. 1 - Mac Lethal's Original 11:11 Sessions is confusing.

    So let me explain:

These are 15 songs, you have never heard before. These are not songs from the 11:11 that was released on Rhymesayers. THIS IS A BRAND NEW CD. These are the 15 songs I made in 2004-2006 as a completely separate album. It's very exciting. A lot of people on www.lethalville.net/forum are saying that they like The Original 11:11 Sessions CD better than the CD that was released on Rhymesayers.

    You be the judge.
