My mother, Barbara. She inspired me to never give up, no matter how rough the waters may get, always look forward and be grateful for what you have. Because you truly never know how much you appreciate someone until they are gone.

I miss her hugs

In late 2002, my mother had fallen very ill. She was diagnosed with various different things, later come to find out that it was something much worse. On December 8, 2002 my mother was diagnosed with Cancer, by this time the diagnosis came to late, and all that could be done was to make her comfortable. They only gave her a few months to live. Exactly one month after the diagnosis my mother passed away in her sleep. I got this tattoo in her memory around my eighteenth birthday. I have wanted this tattoo since the day my mother left this earth. She loved yellow and pink roses, butterflies, and one of her favorite colors was purple.

If I could give anyone advice on life when it comes to Parents, it would be to not take your parents for granted & always think that they will be around, because they won't always be here. Everything you say & do to your parents will always have an affect on you as well as them, no matter how small or irrelevant at the time it may be. Some things you may or may not get a chance to take back or get a chance to say you are truly sorry for. When that happens it really stays with you, you always wind up with a bunch of what ifs.

God saw you getting tired

And a cure was not to be.

So he put his arms around you

And whispered, "Come with me."

With tearful eyes,

We watched you suffer

And saw you fade away.

Although we loved you dearly,

We could not make you stay.

Your golden heart stopped beating

Hard working hands put to rest.

It broke our hearts to see you go,

But now you are at rest.
