“Mash up” si presenta nello scenario della musica elettronica piemontese come un nuovo staff di organizzazione di eventi musicali in collaborazione con la neo label “Part1_music” di Fabiano Bion e Operà Music. ..Sede degli eventi “Mash up 2008“ è l’area torinese dei Murazzi del Po, nello storico “Jam Club” nel quale, a partire da giovedì 15 maggio, si alterneranno in consolle i migliori djs e proucers del panorama piemontese e guests di fama nazionale e internazionale. ..Ospite della serata d’inaugurazione: ..Linuz apprezzato dj e producer bolognese che tra le varie collaborazioni vanta quella con la L.E.D. di Bologna, progetto musicale che ha come scopo quello di creare un circuito internazionale di interscambio tra diverse realtà e tendenze eletttroniche. ..Residents delle serate Mash up i djs Fabiano Bion e Stevie Hawk. .. "YES, THE 4TH DIMENSION", by EDUARDO DE LA CALLE is a masterpiece of hermetic theories applied to advanced minimal techno. It..s mental and involving, deep and solid. Hi-tech reduced synthesized sound build up a never ending progression upon the strictness of its low tom layer. Mystical energy tthat will kidnap everybody on the dancefloor.
In MARIEU..s "ROOTS", you can hear all the trademarks of the boss of the label. Dark, hypnotic and pumping, it developes a bouncing double bass line that breaks the atmosphere with an aggressive 808 kick. Acid and funky at the same time, it..s simply a time bomb.
On side B, LUCRETIO..s "Where You" is a superb synthesis of his Detroit Techno and UK-Garage influences. Relentless effective old-school drums run with a female vocal sample. Soulful chords sing along balistic claps. An evocative string line introduces a touch of blues. A sweet sunset on the groove, a smooth weapon.
Last but not least, a touch of class by THE ANALOGUE COPS: "SLOWLY". It..s a down beat fusion of jazz and deep house. A monumental bass drum bursts a celestial big band interlude. A sexy 303 acid line, an elegant high-hat, a snappy snare. Just few things but on the right place. A delight for your mind and for your body.
