anyone from east coast FL? blazers?jimmys?

This may come as a surprise to some, but. . . . back just a couple of short months ago, our close friend and fellow minitrucker, Bob on the Couch, owner of one bad ass Titan and member of Relaxed Atmosphere, was diagnosed with cancer. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy treatments. The tumors are responding positively to the chemo, however Bob still faces possible extensive surgery in the next short while. As minitruckers, we do what we can to help our extended family. Every August, we gather to remember our friends that we have lost over the past few years. We organize a memorial cruise to honor Matt (Lifestyle Minis), Steve-O and Bruce (founding member of Local Minis and member of Relaxed Atmosphere). Matt, Steve-O and Bruce were killed in accidents involving their vehicles. This year, we have chosen to add a little something to the mix. We are having a show and shine to help raise money to cover some of the medical expenses Bob has incurred as well as honor our fallen friends. The show and shine will be held Saturday, August 14, 2010 in the parking lot of Albertsons (80 West Mitchell Hammock Road, Oveido, FL 32765) from 5pm til 9pm, with everyone cruising to and gathering afterwards at Frogger's (27 Alafaya Woods Blvd., Oveido, FL 32765). Frogger's is around the corner, 1 mile from the Albertson's. This is different from past cruises, but with good reason! Registration will be $10 and the entire amount raised will go to Bob and his family, including his daughter, Alyssa. If you don't have a vehicle to enter, donations are graciously accepted as well. The event will be Top 5 and the winners will be chosen by Bob. There will be a special trophy given in memory of Matt, Steve-O and Bruce as well. We already have donated items from Little Shop of Horrors, Truckin and StreetTrucks to give away as raffles. If you are interested in donating raffle items, please contact me. We remind everyone to please be on their best behavior, both at the show and at Frogger's. Albertson's was kind enough to donate their space to us so please let's not make them regret their kind actions. Behave, be responsible and respectful. Please clean up after yourselves. OK, I just want to again say "Thank You!!" to all th Minitruckers that came out last Saturday to the Florida Minitruck Hangout Night. We had a great turnout again with Minitruckers coming in from all over even as far as Cape Coral. We had Club members from Severed Ties,Relaxed Atmosphere,Minimadness,No Regrets,and Freaks of Nature. This is what me and Mike had wanted to do, which is once a month get us Minitruckers together at a free no hastle location and hang out with new/old friends, get new people into the sport, help each other out with info, show off our work/minitrucks,and just have fun. Just like we said when we started this, it was mainly to keep our sport alive in Florida by keeping us active together and helping the new Minitruckers become as dedicated as us and in addition to gain as many new people to enter our sport as well. There has been alot of new things going on in this area in our sport as well. Just to name a few-- Slamfest has a change of venue this year in Gainesville Oct.2nd & 3rd (which will be great), Relaxed Atmosphere just had a Memorial Cruise which I heard was great(haven't had one of those in awhile local), the Minitruck Hangout has a new venue two months running(Thank you Sonic), and me and Mike have some other things in the works to continue helping our Minitruck sport. Let's keep our sport growing and tell the Minitruckers you know and the one's you don't about Florida's Minitruck Hangout!

Can't make this one. I'm in texas working and I was excited to come and show off the dubs I put on the nova. Hopefully next month....
