  • "WAY BEYOND MYSELF" BREAKS RECORDS DURING FIRST WEEK AT RADIO

    September 14, 2010 – Nashville, TN – The momentum is not stopping for Newsboys! The band's brand new radio single, "Way Beyond Myself," has garnered the most adds this year at Christian CHR radio in a single reporting period. With an astounding 17 adds in its first week, "Way Beyond Myself" debuts on the charts at No. 27. The single is the second to release from Newsboys' current project, Born Again, and follows its No. 1 single, "Born Again." And what a year it has been for Newsboys! With the July release of Born Again and a fresh sound with stellar new lead vocals from Michael Tait, with 26 No. 1 hit singles and an extensive national and international touring schedule, the year is certainly not over for the band. Newsboys are set to release their first-ever Christmas project, Christmas! A Newsboys Holiday, available October 12th (Inpop Records). Newsboys will join Newsong the weekend after Thanksgiving to kick off the "Very Merry Christmas Tour 2010" to help promote the Christmas EP.     Since the July 13th CD release of Born Again, the self-titled single topped the charts for weeks, having a total of 7.47 million impressions to date. Its first week of release was the largest street week of their careers by selling an astounding 45,311 units and hitting #4 on Billboard's overall chart. To date, Born Again has scanned 99,295, selling over 4,100 units this week alone.

  • RELEASE OF FIRST-EVER CHRISTMAS PROJECT ANNOUNCED, ALONG WITH UPCOMING CHRISTMAS TOUR

    With the continuous momentum of Newsboys' current CD release Born Again, a No. 1 radio hit and an extensive touring schedule, they continue their whirlwind year with the announcement of their first-ever Christmas project. Christmas! A Newsboys Holiday will release October 12th, courtesy of Inpop Records. The new CD was produced by Dustin Burnett, Michael Tait, and Juan Otero of The Write Bros, half of the production team of Born Again. Comprised of six holiday classics, Christmas! A Newsboys Holiday includes "Winter Wonderland," "Jingle Bell Rock," "All I Want for Christmas is You," "O Holy Night," "The Christmas Song," and "Mary Did You Know." To help promote Christmas! A Newsboys Holiday, Newsboys will join Newsong the weekend after Thanksgiving to kick off the "Very Merry Christmas Tour 2010."   • BORN AGAIN SELLS 45,311 UNITS ITS FIRST WEEK, THE BIGGEST RELEASE IN NEWSBOYS HISTORY

    BORN AGAIN Places #4 On The Billboard Overall Chart, Making Newsboys The 2nd Highest Christian Artist Debut Of The Year! 

    Nashville, TN - July 21, 2010 - It's official! Born Again, the critically-acclaimed 15th studio project just released from Newsboys, is the biggest project ever to release in the band's history. Even better? Newsboys' Born Again is the 2nd highest Christian artist debut on Billboard's Top 200 and the 3rd highest debut on CCM Soundscan for 2010!

    According to Soundscan, Born Again has sold an astounding 45,311 units in just one week, placing Born Again at #4 on Billboard's Overall Chart, charting above new releases from such artists as Sting and M.I.A. In its first week of release, Born Again also placed Top 4 on iTunes' Overall Chart, sharing company again with Sting and charting before the Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack. Born Again officially released July 13th, courtesy of Inpop Records. 

    Even before sales numbers were released, it has been reported that Born Again is the best project Newsboys has ever released. It has also been said that the band is "wonderfully rejuvinated," "amazing" and "The 'Boys are back...simply the best!" It's been months and months of hard work for Newsboys leading up to the release of Born Again, and it's certainly paying off.

    Along the way, the band has received tremendous support from retail, radio stations, media outlets, and dedicated fans across the nation.
