    PARADE OF LIGHTS /// LAS VEGAS, NV /// BIO 2012 Parade of Lights are an electro-rock band based in Las Vegas, NV. Comprised of core members Ryan Daly and Anthony Improgo, the group combines equal parts rock, new wave, and shoegaze to create their own unique blend of 80's-influenced pop. Daly & Improgo met in 2006 in Los Angeles, CA. Together they formed the band Polus. After releasing a four-song EP entitled "Wish" and garnering a significant buzz in the L.A. area, Polus was put on hiatus. Daly joined power-pop pioneers Hellogoodbye as a guitarist and keyboardist, and Improgo went on to play drums in the electro-pop group Metro Station, which quickly became a multi-platinum, worldwide pop sensation. Even with their rigorous touring schedules, the two managed to keep their friendship intact and exchange song ideas via email until 2010 when they decided to officially reunite as Parade of Lights. In late 2011, the band rounded out its lineup with bassist Michael Sherman of 4x Platinum (AUS) Australian pop act The Veronicas. Citing influences such as Depeche Mode, M83, Van Halen and even Madonna, POL (as they've been deemed by many) created a new breed of utterly nostalgic, yet truly original pop-infused electro-rock. Recent music placements on Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Nick & Vanessa's Wedding, MTV's The Real World, The Jersey Shore, Teen Wolf, Teen Mom and Friendzone have gained the band considerable attention from music and TV insiders, not to mention a legitimate core group of dedicated fans. The TV exposure along with POL's hook-laden songs and entertaining live show, led to a publishing deal December 2011 with Imagem Music, home to the Elvis Presley catalogue as well as current acts like The Script, 30 Seconds To Mars, Vampire Weekend, MIA, The Temper Trap, Justin Timberlake, Daft Punk and many more. Now firing on all cylinders, Parade of Lights is currently in pre-production for their upcoming release, an EP entitled "Born To Live, Born To Love," which they plan to release independently in the first quarter of next year and support with dates throughout the Western US. Ryan went on tour with Hello Goodbye, Matt went out with 30 Seconds to Mars and Ant played drums in Metro Station. They stayed in contact and exchanged song ideas via email until Ryan, Matt, and Randy were able to reform as Parade of Lights with drummer Mike Nielsen. Three songs off of their self-released EP received placements on VH1 and the E! network, garnering the band considerable attention from the Music and Television Industries. .. .. In January of 2010, the band parted ways with Mike, Ant left Metro Station and rejoined, completing the original lineup of the band.
