How it all started... .. .. The Pitchcontrol crew began their musical journey in a small Dutch town called Oss in 2005. The founding members, Infest, Guila and Quasi wanted to establish a night showcasing the true elements of Drum & Bass and Hiphop Turntablism. PitchControl parties were first held at 'De Lollipop' and it soon became a popular night for like-minded people wanting to experience something different. After the night had established itself Quasi began studying Graphic Design in Utrecht where he met with Leonux Who joined the crew with his friend Flowtrigger. With the nights at 'De Lollipop' seing much success the 5-man crew ventured into radio, hosting shows on Revoltage and broadcasting the same styles of music they conveyed at the club night. The show also soon found a popular following. In 2006 Leonux gained a slot on Jungletrain and with Co-host Noie (Pascal Van Ahee) soon joining him, the PichtControl sound was pushed further into the public domain featuring guest slots for numerous like-minded DJ's including Silvahfonk, Madcap, Datcyde and Tyson. Now holding a strong fan base for their sound, the PitchControl Crew began organizing parties at 'De Groene Engel' in Oss inviting Drum & Bass artists from around The Netherlands to showcase their skills including Icicle & Switch, Black Sun Empire and Royal & Raw. After a year promoting events the crew felt the need to relocate to a larger town and to a venue with a larger capacity. Leonux and Flowtrigger had been residents for a while at 'Air Phisix' held at The Stage in Arnhem and decided it would be a good idea to bring the PitchControl nights to the venue having realised there was potential to present it to a much larger audience there. In October 2008, with popularity for the events still growing, PitchControl invited Phuture-T aboard as a resident DJ bringing with him his good vibes and great skills as a resident DJ. The PitchControl Crew was now complete and known across the Netherlands. .. .. The PitchControl Ethos.... .. .. A Pitchcontrol party represents good vibes, the love for the music and diversity in styles. The love for the music and art is displayed throughout our themes and promotions. We work with an open minded attitude and our doors are open to people from all walks of life. We work with a free-based concept beleiving that the music should not be about capitalising on revenue or commercialism but about giving a great experience to those who attend our parties and about bringing positive vibes into the scene. We work with and support breaking talent and feature them alongside established DJs and Artists. Passion is the underlying factor in what we do and its that which reinforces our commitment and helps to make our events the success that they are. .. ..
