Poe Boy Entertainment was created as the brainchild of Elric "E-Class" Prince, the label's founder and CEO. Poe Boy Entertainment was the culmination of a dream and conceived from the vision and legacy of Prince's best friend who unfortunately passed away in 1999. That same year the label signed local Miami rappers, Cognito, P.O.D, Rodney Kohn and Brisco who ultimately produced a momentous buzz and set the label in motion. Poe Boy aggressively began building relationships with other local artists and taste makers, some of whom would later became part of the label and the "movement", transitioning into Poe Boy Music Group a now dominant force in the music industry today.
