Pullman Yards

Hard-working families kept America’s railroad cars rolling during the early 1900s and had to sleep somewhere, so humble abodes were built beside the Pratt Engineering/ Pullman Yards in Kirkwood, East Atlanta, to house them. A hundred years later, iron-framed industrial buildings still stand in the open acreage across from 112 Rogers Street, where Pullman Yards – the entertainment center – opened in June '08. A large, shady outdoor stage area for laid-back appreciation of Atlanta area’s finest musical talent awaits. Inside, the folk-arty exhibit space won’t be mistaken for someone’s house, as this location also holds the distinction of serving as a methadone clinic in the 1970s. A true rarity for east Atlanta’s intown district, this spacious indoor/outdoor venue for emerging musical talent is timed perfectly for a summer launch of acoustic, rock, hard-driving roots, and all-night jamming. Like the early Pullman workers, our plan is to keep the good times rolling to the end!
