.... .. .................. Tarik Muhammad was born in Miami, Florida on (September 12,1988) known as RAW aka SPACEMAN is a triple threat: producer, rapper, and songwriter. His parents was divorced when he was two years old. He was raised in an area in Miami known as Lil Haiti. Though his mother created a stable and nurturing environment at home, it was a challenge to escape the reality of the streets. RAW's neighborhood was rich with talent but not with money. From a young age, he saw the ills of society first hand. RAW graduated from Miami Northwestern Senior High School and attended six months at Miami Dade University. He explained his decision to drop out of college to his mother in 2008, "I dropped out of school because I wasn't learning fast enough…. I learned from real life better." Real life at that time included rapping, working with local artists, songwriting, producing, traveling and performing. His mixes and beats were getting him a reputation as a man who knew his jams. Producing tracks for local artist such as: Picallo aka Desloc, Grindmode, Iceberg and other local artists. RAW is known to shine not only as a producer but as an artist and great entertainer as well. RAW wowed the crowd by performing on stage his single at that time "Spaceman" in a space-suit. Since that time, the name of the song has followed him. RAW has performed at various nightclubs from Miami to New York, participating in many competitions coming in 1st place as an artist and as a producer in beat battles. His work has been recognized by Bill Pettaway, Cool and Dre, Blackout Movement, Jimmy Douglas, Guerilla Tek, and record labels. RAW's most notable performances was 1st place at the 2008 Florida Summit; 1st place at the 2009 Beats on the Beach Beat Battle; 1st place at 2010 AllHipHop.com Indy Showcase on South Beach, and 1st place at many other competitions. RAW's single "Tore Up" ft Picallo aka Desloc has received spins on major radio stations such as Power 96, 99Jamz in Miami, and X102.3 in West Palm Beach.
