Scratchy’s illustrious career on the decks has taken him from Glastonbury to Sziget, from the Tiki Bar in Athens to L’Olympia in Paris and from London’s Dingwalls to NYC’s Palladium.

No-one throws a DJ party like Scratchy. The renowned DJ who toured with the legendary Clash, Scratchy still has his finger on the rockin’ dance pulse, bringing together an irresistible blend of global rock’n’roll, reggae and roma, a true mestizo mix of the greatest music on the planet, from and for all times.

Resident DJ of Dingwalls Dancehall during 1976 & 1977, he first stamped his mark on the emerging punk scene, the night of July 5th ‘76, spinning alongside The Ramones and then went on to play concerts at all the major venues in London: the Roundhouse, Lyceum, Electric Ballroom, Rainbow and Hammersmith’s Odeon & Palais. As a tour DJ, he was on the road with The Clash from 1978-80 and has been similarly associated with Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros, Dr. Feelgood, The Pogues, Gogol Bordello, Groundation, The Dead Brothers and The Urban Voodoo Machine. He has been the resident disc spinner at top London night The Gypsy Hotel since it began in October 2006.

Scratchy has been described by one of his listeners as a Music Shaman. Whether on his weekly internet Scratchy Sounds radio show on wirelessfm.net, or in the flesh, Scratchy’s legendary and vibrant selections will delight, make you want to dance to some of the greatest music on the planet and take you places where others fear to tread.
