Bio
......Ship High In Transit.. was born from an idea four friends had who shared a love of music and a complete lack of music lessons. Talking about music was great, but playing music? So we bought some instruments, camped out in our now drummer's basement and started playing tunes. The beginning was frightening, comprised mostly of E and G chords, snare fills, basic rhymes, and a few ill-advised attempts at covers. It was something... ..But time passed, and while the struggle was great and the learning curve was, well, curvaceous, our love for music and for playing original music grew, until we finished a handful of songs and decided to try our luck at a live venue, and thus began the time of Ship High In Transit in the Boston music scene... ..Since 2006 we've played everywhere in the Boston area, from the All Asia Cafe that gave us our first real break to Lounges de P.A.'s and Abbey, the Greatest Bar, the Bulfinch Yacht Club, T.T. the Bear's, the Middle East upstairs and downstairs, Bill's Bar, Copperfield's, the Church and so on. We greatly appreciate the support we've received from our families, friends, old and new fans, venues and show promoters alike... ..After an up and down 2008, making do the best we could a member short for a year, we're getting ready to re-launch in 2009 as a 4-piece again, and we're going to see just how far this Ship can sail. If you like what you hear let us know, and of course, check out those show dates above and come say hi to us in person, we love meeting new people. Stay tuned, and thanks for listening.
