  • Bio

.. Sleep Room are a 4 piece English alternative rock band from in and around the Reading, Berkshire area. .. .. Their influences include a diverse range of bands, most notably Joy Division, Sigur Rós, Elbow and Pink Floyd. Sleep Room take their name from the conspiratorial brainwashing technique allegedly used by the CIA in the early 70's which involved sensory deprivation and sub-conscious behavioural response to sound. .. .. To date, Sleep Room have made 4 studio albums the latest of which was recorded in November 2009 and released in March 2010. This latest recording is entitled ‘Gone’ and was recorded, mixed, produced and mastered in an exhausting three days at Earth Terminal Studios in Odiham, it was completed with the help of producer Lewis Childs, who we feel has more than done the band’s material justice with his ear for and understanding of sound. .. .. The latest album ‘Gone’ is the result of Sleep Room spending many months in their studio engineering their ideas into technical and moving pieces of music. A great deal of thought, sweat and tears has culminated in a flowing, cohesive, unique and intelligent piece of work they are very proud of and hope you will like. .. .. SR
