What is steampunk?
Steampunk is the science fiction of the steam age, re-imagined with the advantage of modern hindsight. Drawing upon the wealth of historical technology and the scientific fantasies of the Victorian and Edwardian periods, steampunk seeks to reinvent modern wonders such as the computer as the people of the age might have envisioned them. Following in the footsteps of Jules Verne and H. G. Wells, steampunk authors blend history, science and imagination into a world of wonder that might have been.
What were the pulp magazines?
Pulp adventure magazines were a genre of exciting and daring fiction, inspired by the great upheavals and worldwide uncertainty that developed in the wake of the First World War. Fueled by adrenaline and the greatest wonders that mid-20th century technology has to offer, Pulp explores exotic locales and terrible dangers without blinking an eye. Tackling mad scientists, would-be world conquerors, ancient curses, and even horrors from beyond the stars is all in a day’s work for any Pulp hero worth his or her salt.

The Radio-Medicine Show is on the air!
Just wanted to let you know that our first show is finished, and you can hear the whole thing at our Myspace page here:
www.myspace.com/PopHaydnShow
or at our Facebook page here:
www.facebook.com/RadioMedShow
The Radio-Medicine Show is a weekly for-broadcast syndicated radio show, distributed by Jagger Peyton Entertainment Group, www.jaggerpeyton.com
We have music, comedy and fun with Pop Haydn, Professor Dave Bourne and the Medicine Show Band, Judge Nelson, Nancy Magill and our special guests.
On our first show, our featured guest is the wonderful and lovely psychic ukelele lady, Madame Pamita.
As you know, I am not originally from the 21st Century myself, but have been stranded here along with a bunch of fellow expatriates from another time.
Don't get us wrong--we love it here in the 21st Century!
We love the Internet, and the toilet paper, and the fact that you can sell people in this century plain water by the bottle, for real money!
But frankly, the music and entertainment leave a lot to be desired...
We want to provide an alternative to the noise and electro-magnetic and bio-wave energy distortions amd all the other infelicities of this very noisy time.
Everything that goes in your ear stays in your head forever, so listen carefully...
We have just what you need, folks!
It's the cure for the 21st Century!
The music on the show is eclectic Americana, with cowboy, blues, and Old Time music, jazz, jug band, string band, ukelele and eccentric music from the 1890's to the 1930's.
Each selection is chosen for its medicinal qualities, creating a perfect prescription for healing the stress and infelicities of the 21st Century.
It'll make you feel better!
We can use your help. Please check out our page, and FRIEND us.
It will help a lot as we are seeking affiliates.
I hope you enjoy our show. Let me know what you think!
Thank you so much!
There is no place I would rather be than here in the 21st Century with you...
