After calling Portland, OR home for nearly ten years, Scott Garred, singer-songwriter and leader of Super XX Man decides to call Melbourne, Victoria home. Garred makes this move bringing along with him over 14 full-length recordings. With over 300 songs in his canon, he's here and eager to share. Super XX Man was born in the music town of Austin, TX in 1995. Garred left there in 2002 in pursuit of an advanced degree in Music Therapy where he worked with societies' cast-offs at the state mental institution (yes, the one depicted in the film One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest). He settled into a rich musical town playing small pubs with Colin Meloy of the Decemberists, John Vanderslice, and eventually winning the hearts of Portland's rabid music fans through local record labels Hush and Tender Loving Empire. Super XX Man has appeared on National Public Radio's All Songs Considered with host Bob Boilen, as well as featured in the film Dead Girl.
