Taylor Ivy

The Philadelphia Native began singing at the age of 7 yrs. After singing amazing grace in church. A friend of the family suggested to her parents that she take singing seriously. She then began to study under Christina Elena Guzman where she learned the proper techniques of singing. Taylor began to take singing seriously at the age of 10 when she had the opportunity to sing on the amateur night at the Apollo where she floored the audience and ranked “top Dog” three times in a row in 2002. Since then Taylor has been North Catholic High School’s own Kate Smith for three years, singing the national anthem for the football, wrestling, basketball, and soccer teams. Taylor has sung via television several times for the championship basketball games for her school. She has won the teen idol lights if liberty god bless America contest 2yrs in a row (2005- 2006). She was Pennsylvania state talent winner in ’03,’05,’06, and’08. She was national American coed talent winner where she sang, “Wish upon a Star” she went on the Evita National tour with the children’s choir in 2005. Taylor was awarded the Miss Philadelphia Jr. Teen Award in 2008 and she recently played “BELLE” the lead character for the play Beauty in the Beast. The 16 year old is in a league of her own her vocal abilities are amazing for someone at such young age. Her drive and passion for music is very noticeable and are paying off. She is being noticed by music labels and already has a fan base it’s just a matter of time for this young superstar vocalist to shock the music industry. ;
