    Sequent Gem was created by Kristopher David and Ryan Leon. They had been friends since middle school, and decided to pursue their passion for music in their Junior year of High school. In 2008, they recruited friend and drummer Edward Tucker and formed the band "Sons Of 21." The band however disbanded after three shows. In the fall of 2009, David, Leon, and Tucker recruited bassist Jesse Hazeley and restarted the band, only this time changing the name to "The 1-2-3 Kids." Two shows and a five song EP later, the band again fell apart due to a lack of transportation, practice space, and time to rehearse. David and Leon were however soon back at the song writing process. In December of 2009, the two created "Sequent Gem." Their first demo "The Art Of Sunrise", was released a few months later in 2010. After one show in June that same year, they decided to take a break once again because of budgetary issues. By September, David had began writing songs once again in an attempt to revitalize the group. Leon and David began officially recording their second album in October. "Enhance The Mind" was wrapped up in May of 2011, and is set to be released on June 16th. The album features seven new tracks as well as two racks from the previous album such as "Waste My Life Away", and "Summer Solstice". Sequent Gem is set to play a mini tour of Hollywood and Downtown Los Angeles in the summer of 2011 to promote "Enhance The Mind".

Bio:

It starts with a feeling, than grows into something more. Such is the way of all things, and Sequent Gem is no different. The duo, which consists of Kristopher David and Ryan Leon, began as a youthful rock group called "Sons Of 21". After various recordings and shows,the band decided to rethink and revisualize music as a whole. After a period of serious thought and evaluation, "Sons Of 21" was disbanded and the music was halted. Then, on a random stimulating afternoon, David and Leon decided to form a band where there were no limits, no boundaries. Where one could soar with the Sunrise, an eternal spirit. Or where one could simply hear feelings of agony and ecstasy never divulged before, but rather patiently waiting in check to be expressed.And thus Sequent Gem was born. The band has finished their debut LP "The Art Of Sunrise" and is currently planning to start touring the Los Angeles area. ..
