HEROES AND VILLAINS OF SAN ANTONIO The Rodriguez brothers live a hard life in South San Antonio. In a world that seems filled with the ghosts of good men and evil everywhere, Benny can find no greater hero than his older brother Devante, who in the absence of an incarcerated father, has always taken care of him. On Benny’s seventeenth birthday, Devante is the victim of an attack in the drug-infected slum known as the Heaters. Seeing the only good man in his world defeated enrages Benny, who decides it is time to finally become his brother’s keeper.
