  • Bio

..The Mad Architect's humble beginnings started as a DJ at the age of 12. After many prolific stations with several different DJ groups, he felt the need to expand on his musical knowledge as well as evolve from the craft of spinning records... ..The unique name stems from an inside joke. This name, (given to him by long time friend and label mate, Jelani Kamau) was a stab at his other (and completely different ) profession...Architecture .. ..As a DJ, he penned together some memorable remixes to the hottest dancehall, trance and soca tracks, some making it to commercial radio rotation, and several becoming underground white label classics. Never being satisfied with his skill level or mastery of his craft, he dedicated his efforts into becoming a full fledged music producer, a big step up from DJ and remixer... ..After a short autodidact internship in the "other side" of the music business, The Mad Architect set his sites on 2009. This would be his defining year, re-introducing himself to his fans, peers and friends as a composer and engineer. He set off this triumphant launch by utilizing his architectural skills, designing and building his own studio. Now dubbed, The Far East, his studio has already been home to some of music's rising stars, and several well known established artists... ..The first release from the Far East, is entitled, The Major Riddim, signifying a major moment in this new producer's life. This has been dubbed the "Soca vs. Reggae" riddim by many of its early listeners; a true testament to his unique signature sound, blending together many familiar elements of soca and dancehall, and getting a synonymous yet different product...
