Hi everybody!
We're leaving today for a month of dates across the US, Canada and Mexico in support of our new album. Hexadecagon, the geometrical term for a sixteen-sided object, was first performed to emphatically positive reception during SXSW, then put to tape at our home studio in Austin over several months. We are thrilled to release Hexadecagon on CD, 2xLP and digital formats on October 26, 2010. We will be selling the new album at all the shows, however, so if you'd like to have a copy before everyone else, come out to see us!
Vinyl fans take note: the double album spans three sides, with the fourth containing ten bonus tracks cut to wax in interlocked, spiraling "roulette grooves." The LP also includes a cut-and-assemble zoetrope the listener can place atop the record as it spins. Each song has its own zoetrope animation strip. Needless-to-say, this is a very special release.
