About These Monsters

These Monsters are a rock band from Leeds in the UK first formed in 2005.

With vintage amplifiers, big drums and high energy performances These Monsters deliver a huge sound. Characterised by a juggernaut of energy, aggression and vaulting creative ambition; a continually evolving musical and artistic development has led the band from expansive walls of noise through to prog worship all the way back to straight up rock and roll.

monsters have drunk all the rider at festivals like Reading & Leeds, Exit, Incubate, Brainwash, In The City, The Great Escape, at All Tomorrows Parties concerts in London and at shows with Russian Circles, Foals, Coheed and Cambria, These Arms Are Snakes, Oceansize, 65 Days of Static, Jeniferever, Dinosaur Pile-Up, iLikeTrains, Pulled Apart By Horses, Mono, Envy, Health, Unsane and The Fall.
Reviews

"Creating frequently cacophonous and consistently transfixing songs, they rock like proper nutjobs in a manner that's wilfully experimental but never pretentious. Their growing reputation for putting on one hell of a live show is richly deserved."
- Rock Sound Magazine

"An entity of unmatchable interest These Monsters deliver where not many artists of this ilk can The fire they breath is sure to burn a beautifully sordid image into your musical landscape."
- Drowned in Sound

"This is big bad rock music at its most unapologetic."
- Artrocker Magazine

"'Call Me Dragon' is an interestingly dark affair, with hefty riffs, powerhouse drumming and an all round cohesiveness that many modern prog and psych influenced bands fall short of."
- Contact Music

"These Monsters have a very distinct contemporary sound whilst flourishing in classic influences."
- Collective-Zine

"This is very much avant-rock done absolutely right."
- The Fly Magazine

"Sweaty, phenomenally loud and utterly uncontrollable."
- Clash Music
