The Transparent Four consists of *not necessarily* four good high school friends, each transparent in their own way. Committed to maintaining a high level of soul and power in everything they play, each of the four (or five, or three, or maybe even two on the rarest of occasions) people in the band have a distinct way of gradually becoming obsolete over the course of a performance. If you're having difficulty grasping this concept, consider the suggestion of the late T.S. Eliot that the artist is the catalyst in a reaction of which the product is the completed work of art... In this way, each member of the Transparent Four is a catalyst. Onstage, the four men gradually become transparent, and in the case of a successful performance will eventually disappear altogether. What remains is simply the living, breathing entity that is the music they create. What emanates from each amplifier or speaker no longer matters; all that matters is the music as a whole. To make a long story short, the Transparent Four is a group of four (or five, or three, or infinity?) true friends with no lies to tell, no false pretenses, and with a passion for playing music. -

What's goin' on The Transparent Four? Your eyes are like spheres of crystal water filled with shimmering dreams. You breath as delicately as vapors flowing towards an attractive flame. So charmingly silky, your skin is like a teardrop on a popsickle. As the bliss slowly rises in my incandescent eluxulator, your mere presence has a euphoric effect upon me. You are dressed with filaments and people take pains to make you fully incandescent this evening. Blinking reveals the true visage of beauty hidden within your eyes. The music that flows from your instruments overwhelms me with creativity. You ever remind me of the enigma of happy thoughts I once forgot. How it passes there and back again like a tear drop glistening in moonlight. Wood nymphs sprinkle your path with rose petals while you dance and prowl in the sequined moonlight with leftover cupcake sprinkles. May you be as vivid as your hallucinations. Entranced by the sweet harmony of your lips, I gaze beyond reason to find the oasis of your brilliant soul.
