Bio
............ Will and Trent first met in the summer of '98 and have been close friends and casual jamming partners ever since. Will & Heather met in the year 2000 and were married in '04. In 2003, Trent and Jena met and were later married in '07. In late 2002, Trent, along with some buddies, helped form the metal band, Slagg. They rocked out on stages all around the midwest for 5 ½ years and opened up for such bands as Anthrax, Nonpoint, Saliva, and Static-X. Trent grew to have a strong appreciation for metal but was yearning to try something different. After making one of the most difficult decisions in his life, he decided to leave Slagg in early 2008 to pursue a different musical path. .... Trent began writing and recording songs that immediately took on an electronic-rock feel ("Carpe Diem"). Here he played each instrument, sang, and recorded/produced everything himself and posted them on his myspace page. Just a few songs in, Jena's singing was recruited to help him achieve things that he could not do himself vocally. A few months later, Will got a Mac and started to make his own music as well. He played, recorded, and produced everything himself and wrote a plethra of songs in a very short amount of time. Heather was also starting to let her voice be heard on some tracks and their combined vocals gave them new musical opportunities ("I Want to be Your Robot"). .... In April of '09, then-Whatzup writer, Z.B. Smith wrote a piece entitled "Myspace Musician Should Be Heard." The article (see above blog) was a wonderful piece on the evolution of the do-it yourself musician and focused heavily on Will's music. This article was published almost exactly one year after Slagg had played their final show with Trent and he had been unsure of how he felt on starting another band. He was enjoying writing music at home leisurally but during the past few months, as the married duos had each been writing songs separately, the idea to merge by Will, Heather, and Jena was starting to make sense. When that article came out it awoke Trent from his hesitancy to start another band and the gang was ready to grasp, with both hands, what had been in front of them for the past several years. They decided to be a band on the spot (some might say on a whim). .... The Whims are still in their first year as a band and were just nominated for Best New Artist of '09 in The Whammy's (an honor that means a hell of a lot to them). They were also fortunate enough to make it into the Semi-Finals of the Whatzup Battle of the Bands. The 3 live shows that they had to play to make it that far were the first 3 The Whims had every played. They are also on the Whatzup Battle Songz 6 compilation CD (sold at Wooden Nickel). The Whims are looking forward to meeting new bands, hoping to make new fans, and striving to spread their music as far as possible! .... ............ .. .. .. .. -

Hello how are you? Cool profile you got here. I just wanted to let you know that I have just released a yoga, meditation & relaxation album titled “Surrender of The Mind”
Surrender of The Mind is written for those of us who need to get away. Maybe we have had a tough day at work. Maybe we have studied hard. Maybe we need to reflect on certain events in our lives. Maybe we just need a moment to clear our minds and re-set our mental strength. No matter what the reason is, there comes a time when we all need to surrender our minds.
This album takes you on a musical journey like no other. Capturing the ancient sounds of panpipes, tabla, bells, sitar and many other ambient resonances for those who wish to achieve a higher state of consciousness, greater focus and self-awareness through yoga & meditation, or simply to accomplish a more relaxed and peaceful state of mind.
I have attached a mini player for you to listen to a sample of the album so just press play to get away from this mad world we are living in.
The full version of Surrender of The Mind is available on all download sites including iTunes and Amazon.
Please let me know what you think of it, I look forward to hearing from you.
Keep in touch,
Hitz

Sonicbids is an Artist and Promoters Worst Nightmare
Recently we began a trial usage of Sonicbids service for our artist and band searches.
As a result of that test it became clear that Sonicbids is all about earning money at the expense of artists looking to break through the wall that surrounds the music industry.
Based on our experiences from both the perspective of artists we are associated with seeking to benefit from opportunities offered though Sonicbids. As well as from the perspective of promoters searching for talent through Sonicbids service.
We have concluded that Sonicbids operation is nothing more than another one of these money making SCAMS that is generating as much as $8,000,000.00 a year for Sonicbids at the expense of artists and bands paying subscription fees on top of submission fees to be considered by promoters utilizing Sonicbids services. Of which many of these Promoters are running nothing but a SCAM on artists or bands that apply.
First, you should be aware of where the money goes. For every dollar an Artist or Band pays for Sonicbids’ subscription fees, it goes directly into Sonicbids pockets. Second, the first $100.00 of every listing by a promoter, as well as 50% of all fees you pay for any listing also goes directly into the pockets of Sonicbids. This means that Sonicbids is, by our estimation, pocketing over 75% of all monies collect from unsuspecting artists and bands.
