    Dan McRae specialising in film soundtracks & cinematic electronica. .. .. Born in Southampton UK, Dan McRae first picked up the bass guitar while studying 'fine Art' at college in the early 1990s. He began playing in Indy & punk bands learning his craft by ear while performing in some of the grubbiest pubs and clubs on the circuit. This quickly evolved into writing & producing more experimental sound scape's, exploring evocative and emotive compositions. This again lead to teaming up with Dave Ren and the formation of LIEN. In 2004 he broke out of the partnership for a period to explore a more structured approach to writing concentrating on the icy extremes of the antarctic in his solo project 'THIN FILMS' debut album 'ESKIMO' This lead to his first short film score with Michael Keillor and the beginnings of work featuring in cinema adverts and documentary's. In 2009 Dan McRae continues to work with both LIEN, new album 'The Pantone Diary' is due for release in 2010 & THIN FILMS joining with Daniel Culp aka THEODORE from Denver Colorado USA and is now working with music publishers SYNC-MUSIC. His work has since ventured further into orchestrating bespoke film scores which was kick started in 2008 under recommendation from HYPTV by working on his first 20 min short film 'THE ASCENSION AGENCY' Directed by Ged Cleugh This led quickly to 'DEMENTIA: 'Till Death us Do Part' sparking the creative relationship with writer & Director James Roberts. This has since lead to the creation of 'THE WHOLE BUFFALO' a film & design collective formed in 2009 working closely with James Roberts, Adam Hawks & Jon Bosley from the script stage of development of new & exciting material to the final score & musical direction. .. .. McRae has worked on numerous short films including the award winning ONE SHOT WONDER directed by Catalin Leescu and cinema adverts with director Michael Keillor. His music has featured in various documentaries ranging from extreme sports such as HANGIN' WITH: RODNEY MULLEN to government tax on war issues in 'CONTEMPT Of CONSCIENCE' directed by Joe jenkins. .. .. .. .. .. ..Layout Created at.. ...net with LIVE preview!!..
