AGE UK

Part of my life involves being a volunteer for Age UK and I have already sold over 40 copies of my album DIY Hi-Fi in CD format, the profits from which have already been donated to this Charity. Bio
Started writing songs at age of 10. Former member of Loughborough bands of the 70s, Argon and Albatross. Anyone remember them? Also performed solo gigs in and around Loughborough, busked in the market for charity and played the Jubilee Concerts at the Town Hall in 77. Have continued to write songs and record demos, the quality of which have improved as my sound and recording equipment has developed. Did audition for Decca in the 70s and nearly got EMI to publish some songs in the 80s. Started the DIY Hi-Fi project in the 90s with a view to recording enough songs to put on a CD album, to play to family and friends. Now, thanks to My Space, I can share them with a wider audience. The songs have all been inspired by things that have happened to me, people I have met and more importantly things I feel passionate about. Please check out the lyrics and I hope you enjoy the tunes. Favourite Artists Emitt Rhodes, Tom Petty, Ray Davies, Paul McCartney, Elton John, David Bowie, Stevie Wonder. Favourite Legends, John Lennon, George Harrison, Stevie Marriott
Sounds Like
Honest songs with good lyrics and catchy melodies. Others have said a bit 'Beatleish' I'll take that as a huge compliment. Please let me know what you think by leaving a comment . A Fans review of DIY HI-Fi Track 1 Medley Honeybee/Brand New Day Great catchy opening tune with a strong message. Track 2 Love Breaks Thru No matter how bad things get, love is there in this song. Track 3 Computer Rocker, good message, very true! Track 4 Lorraine What a great ode to your sweetheart. Track 5 What is love? Music, lyrics and layout excellent. Track 6 Vagrant Song Catchy, positive tune to get your feet tapping and have a singsong. Track 7 Lonely My favourite, but sad though. Track 8 Is it Love Happy tune and lyrics. Track 9 Credit Crunch Boogie Catchy song that rocks along about the financial dire straits we are in. Track 10 Get Back on the Road Plea to set the record straight, very good! Track 11 DIY Hi-Fi Cut off my copy. (Composers note, title track, plenty of echo. A bit Lennonesque.) Overall excellent Tom, luv Sue x
