The Toxic Avenger:
"C'est de la plus belle manière qui soit pour un DJ que l'histoire de The Toxic Avenger commence en 2007 avec une signature sur le plus hype des labels de Los Angeles, IHEARTCOMIX, sur la seule écoute de son Myspace. Toxic fait ainsi ses armes de DJ aux US, avec près d'une centaine de dates à travers le pays, qui lui permettent de faire une entrée fracassante dans le milieu électro international. Le jeune parisien voit alors ses tracks remixés par les grands Switch, Juan MacLean ou encore The Bloody Beetroots ("Escape", tube underground) dont le remix sert de B.O. au trailer du blockbuster Fast & Furious 5.
Le conte de fée se poursuit puisqu'en 2010, après s'être fait une place de l'élite des DJ électro internationaux, l'homme au pseudo piqué à un chef d’œuvre de la société Troma tourne ses regards vers l'Europe et signe avec Roy Music / Universal. S'en suit la sortie d'un premier single au succès retentissant, un featuring avec le rappeur Orelsan nommé "N'importe Comment" ayant pour concept l'adaptation du phénomène Facebook à la vie réelle.
2011 s'annonce comme l'année de la consécration pour The Toxic Avenger avec la sortie de son premier album, Angst (traduction de l'allemand : entre colère et peur), le 16 mai. Cet album composé entre Paris, L.A. et le Maroc, mêlant une électro exigeante et mélodieuse, est un véritable album pop. The Toxic Avenger s'associe sur scène avec un power duo Guitare-Batterie, nommé Bonjour Afrique formant ainsi sur scène un vrai groupe électro-rock aux sonorités denses et dance. Véritable "orgasme hurlant" selon les Inrocks(Transmusicales 2011)."

It’s midnight. You’re out of gas. As you veer from the country road, your headlights scan the empty field. Suddenly, a lonely, masked figure fills the light. You try to scream, but all you hear is the pulse in your temples as the Toxic Avenger yanks the rip-chord of a rusty chainsaw.
Named one of Rolling Stone Magazine’s “Artist to Watch”, the story of The Toxic Avenger (AKA Simon Delacroix) is like a warped VHS copy of a snuff film. He joined a grown-up Parisian hardcore band at age twelve. By age 22 he was packing venues with a growling new sound that left the faint at heart weak in the knees. Today Simon Delacroix is more than a paradigm-shifting producer (Roy Music-Universal), he’s a world-renowned remixer (Ladytron, Peaches, FF5, Chromeo, Beni Benassi feat Kelis). An iconic DJ, and diabolical hero of his own, twisted, grind-house epic. As a producer, The Toxic Avenger smashes through the windshield of electronic music, grabs it by the throat, and drags its body into the night where it is bathed in light and the terrible roar of his machine. His trademark, crime scene noir, coupled with the stomach-knotting ruthlessness of bass, defies all logic, inspiring an entirely new way of thinking about dance music.
To The Toxic Avenger, the dance floor is his theater, his audience, and his prey. He saws at the crowd with mind-scrambling spirals of gunmetal. He fires from speaker stacks with cinematic shrieks that dive down your brain stem and electrocute the body. No one can escape. Like the Ace of Spades, his calling card is to leave all his victims begging for more.
Stalking the shadows of Paris, The Toxic Avenger spreads his reign of terror from Europe, to the US, Latin America, Asia, Australia, and South Africa; playing along side acts like Run Dmc, Crystal castles, Lil jon, SebAstian, the death set, Diplo, Jamaica, bloody beetroots or Vitalic,
Following up 2007’s Superheroes EP, 2008’s Bad Girls Need Love Too, 2009’s Toxic is Dead and Scion CD Sampler Vol. 26, Delacroix is fresh off the release of his 2 latest EPs, N’importe Comment, a collaboration with controversial Parisian rap iconoclast, Orelsan (#1 of the French TV music video charts airplay in 2010) and Angst one on which he invited his friends SomethingAlamode and their violins to create the magic bridge on this hybrid track both deeply melodious and radically electronic. The spring of 2011 will be a incredible time for The Toxic Avenger as he goes for his first big kill in the form of a feature-length LP entitled, “ANGST”.
