TrickConTreat 2009 is shaping up to be another great weekend of Halloween fun.

We have great entertainment lined up for the 2009 convention.

We are expecting some of our favorite authors and artists including featured artist Alain Viesca, Count Gregore, Steven Wedel, Bill Allen, Craig Wolf, Bev Hale, Dr. Ignatius Faust Fear II, Mr. Grimly, Brad Sinor, Dennis MacDonald, and many more.

In keeping with our 2009 theme, Things That Go Bump In The Night, we'll have hours of programming dedicated to all the things that make Halloween such a spooky time of year.

To kick things off right, Friday will be Kids Day! We have a full day of Halloween fun planned for local schools. From spooky science experiments to Halloween one-act plays, there will be something for your school group to enjoy.

Friday evening is our 2nd Halloween Hafla, with performances by dance troupes from around Oklahoma. Following the Hafla is the Clockwork Ball, an all-ages Steampunk-themed dance featuring dark music and Victorian Age party games.

Saturday morning starts with a Meet the Guests coffee tasting in the ConSuite, followed by tons of literary, film, paranormal, costuming, and other programming. Don't miss the Pine Box Derby, model cars and hearses competing for the glory of being TCT's first Derby Champion.

Saturday evening, we'll hold our Dark Art auction before everyone rushes to get dressed up for our costumed Monsters' Masquerade, an 18yrs+ costume party with live entertainment from Christophe, Pulpit Red, and others. The Masquerade will also have a living art project with Felix Matos and the return of our Adults-Only Costume Contest with categories such as Most Disturbing, Most Original, and Best in Show.

In case you haven't had enough, Sunday morning we'll have our Hangover Breakfast in the ConSuite, followed by more programming across the Halloween spectrum. A home haunter's workshop, more Halloween Who's Line, more ghost hunters, a pumpkin carving contest, more authors, more horror hosts, and The Halloween Preservation Society's first Halloween Awards, to recognize efforts in art, music, literature, film, and society which promote the culture of Halloween.
