About me:

My name is Josh but everyone calls me Wop. I am a full time parent first and foremost. I have two amazingly wonderful children that I am madly in love with. I am a single, full time, full custody father and not a day goes by that I am not thankful for what I have and how I have it. I love all kinds of music but my heart belongs to electronic music, especially breaks. I spin breaks...mostly Nu Skool and Electro but I always have a few suprises up my sleeve. I've been DJing at clubs, raves, concerts, and music events since 2000 and I've been blessed enough to play at some really amazing events and share the stage with some of the world's most talented DJs, producers, and MCs. Me and one of my best friends Jason Robo started our crew, Progressing Beats, a few years back and are still going strong with it today. I can have a good time pretty much anywhere I go, but you'll never see me more at home than when I'm at a rave/electronic music event/electronic music oriented club. I've been part of the electronic music scene/sub culture for over 10 years and I'm loving every second of it. I'm proud to be a part of this and even though alot has changed in 10 years, my intense love of electronic music and the New Orleans/southern Louisiana scene has only gotten stronger. I have the best friends and family any man could ever ask for. My best friends are family to me and my family means the world to me. I have the two most beautiful/wonderful children in the world (Kai is 6 1/2 and Mia is 5) and I somehow successfully balance children, and a very full time job with DJing/friends/going out. I love to dance (breakdancing/poppin' n lockin'/uprock). I feel very blessed to have the life that I have and the people that I have close to me, and I try to govern my entire life around one rule...treat people the way you want to be treated.
